Lille OSC represents the far north of the country in their national football league. Despite the location of the city close to the Belgian border, the fan base is large and dedicated in the metropolitan area and across the country. The Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Lille’s home ground, is regularly sold out or close to the 50,000 capacity and with good reason – last year they finished in third place.
The Lille Kids (Boys Youth) Home Jersey 2014 – 2015 is bold red in color. The design fades from bright to dark in a V-shape pattern that Nike has used on a few top goalkeeper kits this season. The football shirt is mostly the darker, strong red, and solely that color on the back. The boys football shirt collar is an arcing V-neck in navy blue, with a fine line of navy trip highlighting the rib of the short shirt sleeve cuffs.
On the front of the boys shirt are the Nike Swoosh and the Lille OSC club crest, both stitched in white thread. The Lille badge features a Great Dane; the club nickname and literal translation of Les Dogues. Lille has recently signed a shirt sponsorship deal with Belgian sports nutrition brand Etixx. This first edition football shirt was released before the deal though and so does not feature the company name and logo.
Nike makes the Lille kids home football shirt from 100% polyester because of how lightweight and durable the material is, making it great for boys to go a bit mad in playing football or out with friends. Nike’s Dri-FIT sweat wicking technology plays an important part in the kids football shirt too. This draws perspiration away from the body, into the shirt fabric, and then throws it out as evaporation.
