The signature blue and white jersey for Schalke has received a modern makeover for this season’s collaboration with their new manufacturers – Umbro. The plain blue base jersey now features a darker blue graphic design on the front. This pattern is made up of diagonal zig zag lines which create a fantastic textured look and works superbly with the plain blue back and sleeves.
White fabric has been used to outline the V shape of the neckline. And this is also seen around the hem of the arms; however within this strip of material are a number of grey double diamonds. The centre of the chest features the Gazprom sponsorship in white print and above this is which embroidery is the Umbro logo to the right. And to the left of this is the Schalke crest which has been adorned onto the shirt using a fabric patch.
Also, to the rear of the neckline the words ‘Wir leben dich’ are seen in white print alongside a small Schalke emblem. This quote translates in English to ‘We Live You’ which is a subtle addition of club patriotism on this core soccer jersey.
