When creating the AS Roma home shirt and the rest of the collection, Nike stated that their main inspiration behind the design was Roman mythology. In particular they focused on Jupiter who is the figurehead for sky and thunder; therefore they introduced the lightning bolt motif to represent this. This attribute has been placed on the neckline of the shirt and the cuffs of the sleeves in red on a yellow base.
Printed on the front of the deep maroon shirt is the Qatar Airways sponsor logo which has been applied in white. The Hyundai wording and emblem can be seen on the rear of the shirt in gold. Woven to the left of the chest is the AS Roma crest and on the right is the yellow Nike Swoosh. Finishing off the look of the top, there is a golden printed graphic within the neckline.
