Last season was a remarkable one for Atlético Madrid. They broke into the top tier of Spanish football and squeezed between city rivals. Diego Simeone went one better though and won the La Liga title, with a final game draw against Barca giving them a two point margin. Barca in turn beat The Vikings to second place on goal difference, but fell to both sides in the Quarter Finals of the Champions League (Atlético) and the semis of the Copa del Rey (Real). Ironically the team that beat them went on to lose the final to the other side, so Atlético Madrid claimed a league and Spanish Cup double while Real Madrid became Champions of Europe.
The Atlético Madrid kids away football shirt isn’t groundbreaking in terms of design, but it’s a tidy football shirt that represents the professionalism of the club and offers a smart football shirt to perform in away from home. The boys away shirt is mostly a pale grey, with darker grey V shapes radiating down the torso from the shoulders.
In terms of detail the away shirt has a round neck collar. The away shirt cuffs are interesting too – plain grey on the outside and red underneath if your kids wish to fold them over for a bit more color. The Nike Swoosh brand logo sits on the chest in red stitching, and the Atlético Madrid club crest is also stitched on to the opposite side of the chest. The La Liga patch is stitched on to the right shirt sleeve.
The Atlético Madrid kids away shirt needs to be durable and lightweight, and as it’s made from 100% polyester it’s just that. It also contains Nike’s Dri-FIT sweat wicking technology which is designed to remove perspiration and keep your child cool, dry, free of irritation, and generally happy.
