For the 2015/16 season, Adidas has opted for a subtle striped texture effect on the chest of the shirt. These thin lines have been added in a slightly different shade of blue to the base to create an effective look. In the centre of the chest is the Yokohama Tyres printed sponsorship, above this is the Adidas emblem and the Chelsea crest. Around the cuffs of the sleeves is white and red stitching and along the length of the sleeves, the Adidas stripes can be found.
Unlike the shaping of the men’s jerseys, this shirt is designed with a more fitted effect. The neckline of the shirt is also much wider and rounded. However, the concept of the shirt is still the same, the technology used within the polyester base is called Climacool. And this has been specially engineered by Adidas to reduce the build-up of moisture through enhanced ventilation techniques.
