2017/18 marks the first season, in the history of Chelsea football club that the squad’s kit is made by American sportswear manufacturer Nike. In traditional Chelsea style the 2017/18 home shorts are blue in colour. Nike has gone above and beyond to ensure the shorts authenticity in the club’s roots, and exactly colour matched the shade of blue to one of the club’s shirts from the 1970’s.

In addition to being the perfect shade of Chelsea blue the 2017/18 home shorts include a woven club crest for team pride; the crest is placed on the front of the right leg. The iconic Nike Swoosh is also woven in white thread, and placed on the left leg. White inserts on the flanks of the shorts produce a sporty style.
As well as being designed to promote your allegiance to Chelsea FC the 2017-18 home shorts are optimized for performance on the soccer field. The white inserts on the sides of the shorts are actually stretchy mesh panels that allow a natural range of movement, as well as increasing breathability.
By ensuring adequate airflow to the skin these shorts help speed the body’s natural cooling process. This process is also facilitated by the use of Dri-Fit fabric that wicks away sweat, and allows it to evaporate more quickly.
