Heavily inspired by the iconic European nights at Anfield stadium, this season’s Liverpool third shirt is black in colour with grey sleeves and a checkerboard pattern on the body of the jersey. This pattern is believed to represent the checkered flags and banners seen around the stadium and in the stands.
Along with this feature, there is a red stripe down the sides of the shirt and surrounding the neckline to integrate the club’s signature home colouring with the jersey. As well as this the Nike Swoosh and Liverpool crest are woven either side of the chest in red and the Standard Chartered sponsor is printed below in white.
