Castore Manufactures the NUFC Strip

After signing a contract with Puma back in July 2021, the club's directors has since decided to move to Adidas from 2024/25 signing a 5 year deal. However, the total cost of this contract has not yet been released.

Evolution of the Home Design

When attending matches at St James’ Park you will come across a sea of supporters sporting the official Castore Newcastle United home shirts adorned with the signature black and white stripes. However, when the merger first took place of Newcastle East and West end, the colours were in fact red and white, which was the scheme used by East End. Although, two years later they decided to use the monochrome colours we see today which was originally used for the reserve team.

 

At the beginning of every season the manufacturer releases a new style strip, which still displays their signature look but using different variations. For example fewer but thicker stripes were seen in 2016/17 however for 2017/18 there are more stripes but they are relatively thinner.
