For 2020/21 the Borussia Dortmund away shirt is heavily inspired by the style of graffiti and street art around the city centre. This jersey has been produced with a black base colour and decorated with yellow and white details. Stretching from the top left shoulder down to the right side of the hemline, there is a yellow sash with a spray pain effect that breaks in the centre to showcase the club’s crest and sponsor. At this break the yellow colouring scatters into the graffiti inspired graphic pattern on the left side of the shirt which sees the club’s name abbreviated to BVB.
The centre of the shirt sees the new 1&1 sponsor printed on a white and black style. This sponsor is only used on the club’s Bundesliga shirts not the ones worn for the cup matches. Woven either side of the chest is the Puma badge on the right in yellow and the Borussia Dortmund is on the left. Completing the jersey, there is an additional sponsor on the left sleeve in white and on the top of the shoulders the Puma logo is seen again in yellow with the letters BVB adorned to the back of the neck in yellow needlework.
